The Position

As an Associate Manager for our apprentice team, you will be responsible for:

  • Management responsibilities to a team with 20-30 apprentices
  • Recruitment of apprentices, preparation of on- and off-the-job training plans for apprentices in collaboration with subject matter experts, mentors, host team leaders and local schools
  • Recruitment and onboarding of local mentors for apprentices
  • Ensure adequate and effective training of apprentices provided and implemented
  • Nurturing and developing your team while offering coaching and guidance
  • Leading the team in accordance with LEAN principles.
  • Fostering a strong sense of ownership in the training process, especially in departments outside the training team.
  • Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships with local schools and host team in production site.

 

Additionally, you ensure that the team is operating in compliance with our quality management system as well as Novo Nordisk Occupational Health & Safety manual.

 

 

Qualifications

To succeed in this position, you ideally have:

  • A relevant degree in Adult Learning, Organisational Management, Communication, People Development or a related field
  • Solid experience in leadership or an aspiration to become a leader, stakeholder management, and strategic prioritisation
  • Proven experience in design and implementation of training plan as well as coach individuals for success
  • Fluent communication skills in English and Danish.

About the Department

You will be part of the Business Support department. We are responsible for providing support to business in diverse aspects that include apprentices, training, LEAN, quality compliance, business partnering, finance and administration. You will head up the team of 20-30 apprentices.

 

We are part of Needle Manufacturing in Hjørring which is responsible for the internal production of pen needles as well as quality control of all Novo Nordisk pen needles produced both internal and external. We are organized into seven departments with more than 425 employees dedicated to ensuring the supply of pen needles to Novo Nordisk.
