Senior Product Development Engineer
Would you like to help ensure medical devices remain safe, effective and compliant throughout their lifecycle? As a Senior Product Development Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving marketed medical devices, with a strong focus on risk management, design control, change control and technical integrity.

 

Your new role

As Senior Product Development Engineer, you will work closely with colleagues across system engineering, risk management, mechanical engineering, quality and regulatory affairs to maintain robust medical device products throughout their lifecycle. You will help ensure that product changes, investigations and continuous improvements are handled with the right technical depth, compliance and patient focus.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading Life Cycle Management activities for marketed medical devices
  • Driving risk management in accordance with ISO 14971.
  • Maintaining system requirements, design documentation and traceability.
  • Providing technical leadership through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Supporting verification and validation of product changes.
  • Preparing design control documentation, technical evaluations and impact assessments.
  • Supporting post-market activities, including change control, investigations, CAPAs and continuous improvement.

Your new department

You will join a team of 11 engineers (four Mechanical Engineers and seven Product Development Engineers) supporting two product areas: FlexPen and Needles. You will be based in the FlexPen team in Hillerød, while the Needle team is located in Hjørring.

 

The department is responsible for maintaining and improving marketed medical devices in a regulated environment and works closely with Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Medical, Product Supply and external partners to ensure products remain safe, compliant and effective for patients worldwide. You can expect a collaborative environment with experienced and knowledgeable colleagues.

 

Your skills and qualifications

We are looking for a structured and quality-driven engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of engineering, risk management, compliance and product lifecycle management. You thrive in cross-functional collaboration and are motivated by delivering robust solutions that create value for patients.


We imagine you have:

  • A master's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within medical devices.
  • Experience with lifecycle management, product maintenance or systems engineering in a regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of risk management, design control, change control, and verification & validation.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to translate lifecycle needs into technical solutions.

What we offer

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 651,000.00 DKK to 956,900.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

 

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
