The position
As a Simulation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced simulation models to optimize our manufacturing, material handling and intralogistics processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and drive operational excellence from conceptual design to commissioning.
Some of your key responsibilities include:
- Defining the scope and purpose of simulation & emulation projects within the manufacturing domain, gathering, analysing, and interpreting data required
- Developing and verifying simulation models using off-the-self tools
- Generating comprehensive reports with design or improvement recommendations
- Introducing and implementing simulation/emulation methods a part of conceptual, detailed design and commissioning of the manufacturing and intralogistics process pipelines
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, we imagine you have:
- At least a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Computer Science, or any other related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience with simulation and/or emulation engineering, preferably linked with manufacturing & intralogistics processes
- Knowledge of simulation software and tools such as Emulate3D, Visual Components, 3DExperience or any other similar
- Experience in setting up a 3D simulation with connected emulation for virtual commissioning, including modelling of system and device behaviour
- Basic understanding of automation control software stack, e.g., PLC, communication protocols, etc.
- Experience in modelling kinematic motion in simulation software
- Programming skills, e.g., Python, C++
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
