The Position
As our new Senior Test Engineer, you will be working with connected medical devices which involves developing test protocols, executing explorative tests, and generating test reports. Your daily tasks will give you a great exposure to various internal and external stakeholders including external Digital Health partners. There is no dearth of challenges, and the job will offer lots of learning opportunities.
Some of your key tasks will be to:
- Drive engineering test activities for connected medical devices as per internal processes and regulatory / compliance standards.
- System integration and test of end-to-end connected solutions.
- Develop and execute test plans, protocols and reports.
- Support the technical integration of external digital health partners with Novo Nordisk’s connected devices.
- Participate in technical discussions on connectivity domain internally and with external development partners.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we believe that you should have:
- Engineering degree in electrical / mechanical / computer science or related discipline.
- Knowledge of test methods for mechatronics / embedded systems.
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and best practices.
- Solid experience working with complex technical R&D projects in a test engineer role.
- Collaborative mindset
It would be considered an advantage if you also have:
- Experience with connected medical devices or medical devices with embedded software with a basic understanding of IEC 62304
As a person, you are a strong team player recognised for your interpersonal skills. You are energetic, and you are comfortable with taking initiative with a 'can do' mind-set, as well as facilitating stakeholders. You communicate fluently in English both written and orally and like to document your work.
About the department
Devices & Delivery Solutions is an area within Novo Nordisk's global R&D organisation. We develop medical devices for self-treatment, supporting all business areas of Novo Nordisk A/S. The department is is located in Hillerød, in the greater Copenhagen area, and we have a long and outstanding track record of developing the best, most innovative and widely used insulin devices in the world.
We are expanding our portfolio of connected medical device projects and a great effort is put into transforming our development processes together with development vendors. You will join a diverse and international team of solution architects, hardware, software and mechanical engineers motivated by advancing the care of people living with diabetes.
