Your new role

As a Senior Product Development Engineer in our Single Dose Device team, you'll take ownership of a fully outsourced medical device project - a unique setup within Novo Nordisk. This role demands more than technical excellence; you'll be a strategic partner navigating complex trade-offs between quality, patient safety, cost, and timelines while managing a broad landscape of internal and external stakeholders.

Day-to-day your tasks will include:

• Driving final product development- and life cycle management activities in close collaboration with our external device supplier, ensuring design control, risk management, and regulatory compliance throughout the lifecycle phases of the device
• Managing and influencing a complex stakeholder landscape across quality, regulatory, medical affairs, product supply, and senior management to drive aligned decisions
• Leading design reviews, risk assessments, and cross-functional coordination activities with both internal teams and external partners
• Balancing quality and patient safety with business realities, standing firm on critical decisions even under pressure
• Acting as a senior role model, bringing positive energy and collaborative mindset to a team navigating transformation

In Global Manufacturing & Supply, we cover the full value chain from drug and device development to marketed Novo Nordisk products. We are more than 30,000 colleagues across the globe with the shared responsibility of scaling molecules, processes, devices, and products, dedicated to supplying life-saving medicines to the patients who need them most.

Within Global Manufacturing & Supply, you'll join Drug Delivery Innovation's Single Dose Device team. We own a fully outsourced medical device - designed and produced by an external supplier - making our setup unique within Novo Nordisk. This means your work spans supplier collaboration, system engineering, risk management, and internal stakeholder alignment, with direct impact on business decisions and patient outcomes. Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for a Senior Product Development Engineer who combines technical capability with strategic mindset and exceptional stakeholder management. You'll bring with you:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
• Experience from medical device development with preference for final product development experience
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills - you can translate complex technical matters for diverse audiences and navigate decision-making in a product organization
• Experience with design control principles and ISO standards is an advantage
• Collaborative mindset combined with the backbone to defend quality when it matters
• Fluency in English
