The Position

In this role, you will support the global production of plastic components for Novo Nordisk’s various pen device systems. You will take ownership of several moulds within our global plastic component production network. This position requires extensive collaboration both across the organization and with contract manufacturers, and it is essential to maintain strong relationships with colleagues inside and outside the company. You will work closely with production technicians, manufacturing development engineers, mould makers, and contract manufacturers, serving as a central point of contact for your assigned tools.

As a Senior Moulding Tool Engineer, you will play a key role in Novo Nordisk's ability to deliver pre-filled and durable medical pen systems to patients worldwide.

 

The main tasks will be to: 

 

•    Support operations at contract manufacturers, ensuring the availability of necessary spare parts.
•    Lead systematic problem-solving efforts, including root-cause analysis and the implementation of preventive measures.
•    Optimize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by actively engaging with our global network of external moulders in South America, Asia, and Europe, with occasional travel (20-40 days per year).
•    Safeguard the integrity of copy mould concepts and baseline processes.
•    Execute engineering initiatives, process improvements, and technical projects to continuously enhance processes and mould performance.
•    Share best practices with colleagues to improve working standards and promote Lean methodologies.
•    Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders both inside and outside the organization.

 

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you have:

 

•    A bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, or a similar technical field. We also welcome applications from recent graduates with a strong desire to learn, as well as candidates with a toolmaker background or similar.
•    Hands-on experience in an engineering role within plastic component production in a GMP environment, with in-depth knowledge of injection moulding.
•    Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required; conversational Danish or other language proficiencies is a plus.

About the Department

Global Contract Manufacturing Devices is located in the picturesque surroundings of Hillerød. The Technical Operations department consists of teams supporting our external suppliers in moulding, decoration, and assembly lines. In Global Moulding Operations, we are responsible for maintaining our global fleet of high-cavity, state-of-the-art moulds across multiple device platforms.
