The position

As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will play a central role in maintaining and optimizing our DeltaV/ PCS systems and other supporting applications while ensuring the stability and efficient operation of our production. In addition, you will support production with your colleagues by using your expertise when they need help with problem-solving. You will be part of upgrading our production platform with the overall objective is to implement the right solutions for a more digital and automated future.

 

We are looking for someone with a strong desire to provide the best solutions in close cooperation with our production. You will work with people from different backgrounds, like operators, skilled workers, QA, managers, and specialists. Therefore, you must be outgoing and manage to simplify and explain complex technical contexts

 

Key responsibilities would include:

  • Support day-to-day operations and contribute to the efficient execution of our manufacturing processes
  • DeltaV responsible
  • Develop and code updates to optimize our production processes within DeltaV
  • Participate in projects and provide input on automation solutions to our stakeholders
  • Qualify changes in the system and ensure QA Department approvals
  • Troubleshoot and test system deviations in production
  • Develop the team with DeltaV and act as go-to person when complexity increase

 

Qualifications

Whatever your background, it is a prerequisite that you have a strong desire to achieve knowledge and provide the best solutions in close cooperation with our production.

 

To succeed in the role, you have:

  • Technical or academic education within IT, automation, engineering, or similar
  • Experience within the operation of manufacturing processes and DeltaV
  • Virtual server environments knowledge is an advantage e.g.: Microsoft Hyper-V, OPC, and SQL databases
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, willingness to learn Danish would be advantageous

As our new colleague, you will join Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD) as part of Novo Nordisk Product Supply. This is a global production network at the forefront of technology and quality production of pharmaceutical products. In BRD we are not only supplying all Novo Nordisk products for Rare Diseases but also using our competencies in Biotech to support the growing efforts into completely new production platforms and therapy areas for Novo Nordisk.
