Reliability Engineer

Category:  Manufacturing
Location:

Hillerød, Capital Region of Denmark, DK

Finished Production, Maintenance & Engineering
Hillerød, Denmark

Your impact begins here

Are you passionate about making complex production lines more stable, robust and reliable? Do you enjoy turning technical data and recurring failure patterns into engineering solutions that create lasting improvements? And would you like to join a newly established team where you can help build the reliability discipline and shape how we work with reliability across our assembly and packaging production lines?

What you’ll bring

You combine manufacturing experience with a strong technical or data-driven perspective. You enjoy finding the root cause of complex problems, turning analysis into practical recommendations and working across functions to create lasting improvements.

We expect you to bring:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline.
  • At least two years of experience in maintenance engineering, reliability engineering or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of production environments and preventive or predictive maintenance principles.
  • The ability to analyse equipment and maintenance data, identify patterns and translate findings into technical improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with clear communication and effective stakeholder collaboration.
  • Professional proficiency in English. Danish is useful but not required.

Experience with reliability-centred maintenance, failure mode and effects analysis, root cause analysis, SAP maintenance systems, Lean Manufacturing or technical documents such as user requirement specifications, factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests and qualification protocols would be beneficial. Experience from pharmaceutical manufacturing and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice are also advantageous rather than essential. A professional reliability engineering certification would be an additional asset.

What you’ll do

  • Use equipment, maintenance and production data to identify trends, recurring failures and opportunities to improve equipment reliability, availability and lifecycle performance.
  • Perform failure analysis and develop engineering solutions that prevent repetitive breakdowns rather than addressing only immediate operational issues.
  • Develop and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance strategies based on equipment performance, criticality and risk.
  • Facilitate equipment risk assessments using methods such as reliability-centred maintenance and failure mode and effects analysis and turn the outcomes into cost-effective maintenance plans.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of new equipment, ensuring that reliability, maintainability and lifecycle considerations are included from the beginning.
  • Support equipment obsolescence and lifecycle management, including recommendations on maintenance priorities, investments, spare parts and future production needs.
  • Providing data-driven recommendations to management on reliability priorities, investments and budgets to support future production needs and long-term equipment performance

Who you’ll work with

You will join the newly established Reliability Engineering Team within Maintenance & Engineering in Finished Production at our Hillerød site. The team is building a consistent reliability approach that places greater emphasis on understanding, predicting and preventing technical issues across assembly and packaging production lines. This gives you a meaningful opportunity to influence how the discipline develops and becomes embedded in the organisation.

Your closest partners will include colleagues from other technical teams, technicians and operators. You will also collaborate with stakeholders across Production, Quality, IT and automation, Supply Chain and improvement networks, as well as relevant suppliers and vendors. The role is based close to production in Hillerød, with some flexibility available.

What you can expect here

You can expect a role with room to take ownership, introduce new perspectives and influence long-term technical decisions. You will join a small team at an early stage of its development, where knowledge sharing, curiosity and collaboration are central to establishing a strong reliability discipline. The position is focused on strategic, preventive engineering rather than day-to-day mechanical repair work on the production lines.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 570,200 to 838,100 DKK (DK), corresponding to the level of the position.

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
