Novotunity – a new project in Novo Nordisk that redefines talent and hire people with visible physical disabilities.

One of the very important missions for Novo Nordisk is to drive change within diversity and inclusion. We have in the past decade successfully hired people with a disability into our workforce and hereby redefined the way we look at talent. We are now launching NOVOTUNITY, a project that aims to have our workforce mimic the background population in society and hence expand diversity beyond gender and nationality. A true diversity programme includes a physical disability agenda.

We launch the project as a pilot, by hiring in temporary 1-year positions starting at 25 hours with an option to expand or reduce.

It is an ordinary position with salary and pension equally to ordinary Novo Nordisk terms.  The position is unsupported by municipalities and not a flex job position.

The position

We are looking for a motivated Manufacturing Intelligence (MI) Engineer to support the integration and optimization of Operational Technology (OT) systems within our manufacturing processes. This position is pivotal in shaping how we leverage data collection technologies across different manufacturing areas at Novo Nordisk. For this position we consider ONLY candidates with physical visible disabilities.

As an MI Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the integration and optimization of OT systems within manufacturing processes. You will contribute to building innovative MI and data collection solutions tailored to organizational needs. Additionally, mentoring junior colleagues and driving strategic initiatives for MI and OT technology adoption will be central to your role.

Your main tasks are:

  • Performing systematic on-site testing and evaluation of MI and OT systems.
  • Defining Engineering Specifications (ES) for MI solutions.
  • Assisting in the definition of IT architecture for data collection and test plans for MI systems while executing them effectively.
  • Ensuring compliance with GMP regulations through the development and review of relevant documentation (e.g., IFA, ITRA, DS, O&M).

This is an opportunity to explore new technology and inspire production areas across Novo Nordisk to automate their processes. The position covers a high level of complexity, and the daily work requires interaction with a wide range of stakeholders (online, or in person at the office).

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, we imagine you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within Engineering or another relevant field.
  • Some experience or technical background within Manufacturing Intelligence and OT systems.

We strongly encourage you to apply even if you are new to this field and are eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
