The position 

As the Manager in Analytical Development, you will have the opportunity to lead one of our four analytical teams called Chemistry & Processes.  

Your responsibilities will include: 

 

  • Heading a team of 9 chemists and professionals, responsible for developing and implementing new chemical methods on raw materials used at all Novo Nordisk production sites. 

  • Supporting the QC department with OOS investigations, deviations, and equipment and method-related issues. 

  • Implementing new platforms for QC and finding innovative solutions for our QC departments facing an increased flow of materials. 

  • Supporting Quality processes across the area. 

  • Creating standard processes for different activities in close collaboration with stakeholders. 

  • Driving continuous improvements and innovative solutions aligned with our business strategy. 

  • Ensuring the team's performance, timely completion of activities, and compliance with GMP, pharmacopoeia and corporate standards. 

  • Following up on the team's performance, well-being, and development. 

 

Qualifications 

To be successful in this role, you: 

  • Have 2- 4 years of leadership experience and a strong interest in people development. 

  • Hold a master’s degree in science or similar, supplemented with experience with GMP. 

  • Have a structured approach to your work, can set the scene, and give direction. 

  • Understand Quality Control or management of deviations. 

  • Are fluent in both spoken and written English.

About the department 

You will join Analytical Development, Material Manufacturing Development in Product Supply, Sourcing Operations, responsible for developing and supporting raw materials from late phase development to marketed production. The department consists of 50 employees organized in four teams. As a Material ManDev department we are cooperating with a variety of functions, including development, QC, IT, QA, various Novo Nordisk production sites, and external contract manufacturers.
