The Position
As the Manager for the Cartridge based-device platform Team, you will be responsible for leading a team of 16 dedicated system engineer experts and mechanical engineers which are experts within design control.
You will facilitate, guide and develop your team, optimize processes, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization. The team owns the marketed cartridge-based devices which is on a strategically exciting journey to expand capacity globally and the product support is crucial for our stakeholders in the business.
Your key responsibilities are to:
- Lead a team of 16 design control experts with diverse professional backgrounds.
- Develop the team and its members to align with organizational needs.
- Foster a culture of optimizing design control documentation for cartridge-based devices to ensure sustainability in product quality and team competencies.
- Strategically prepare the team to support increased demand for operations during future capacity expansions of marketed cartridge-based devices.
- Cultivate and strengthen team culture in the Cartridge Team, in the Cartridge & Needle Department and in the Device Development Area.
To succeed in this role, you must lead design control experts, facilitate team development and individuals, enhance team processes to support production expansion while maintaining the product quality. You will empower talented experts while also fostering individual growth, set strategic direction, and ensure design control processes evolve to meet organizational needs.
Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you should have:
- A Master’s degree in Natural Sciences or Engineering (e.g., Engineering, Pharma, Chemistry, or a related field).
- Leadership experience with a proven track record of developing and managing teams with focus on constructive feedback, recognition of team achievements and high performance are made through your effective leadership and support.
- You encourage the team to develop and implement robust design control processes that support effective training, team performance, and in that way ensure product quality.
- Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry, particularly in design control, device development, production, or production scale-up.
As a leader, you are highly motivated with a passion for people development, processes, and product quality. You recognize the value of your team and empower them to succeed. About the Department
You will join a vital department responsible for Novo Nordisk’s marketed cartridge-based devices, continuously preparing for future capacity expansions. You will collaborate with stakeholders, highly skilled professionals, and various areas across the organization.
Device Development (DD), part of Finished Product MSAT, holds design responsibility for Novo Nordisk’s medical devices and delivery systems, acting as the link between Development and Production.
In Device Development, our primary focus is introducing new Novo Nordisk products to market while continuing to develop variants of marketed device and product platforms. Our deliverables directly impact market entry, capability, and ongoing product availability.
You will join the Cartridge & Needle Department, comprising 25+ design control experts and mechanical engineers. The Cartridge Team is responsible for the marketed cartridge-based products and platforms, continuously preparing for future capacity expansions.
