The Position

As the Manager for NPF (NovoPen Family ), you will develop your employees by leveraging their strengths and identifying growth opportunities. You will ensure the timely execution and handling of initiatives in collaboration with the team & external partners. Your role will involve driving maintenance strategies, optimizing products, and aligning with stakeholders to support future directions. Strategic prioritization of initiatives against company goals, strategies, budget, and resource allocation will be key to ensuring the successful fit of the products within the market.

 

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Prioritization: Actively prioritize initiatives against company and stakeholder goals, ensuring alignment with overall strategies and efficient resource allocation.
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making: Guide and develop the team in finding innovative solutions, mitigating risks, and making strategic compromises. Ensure timely escalation through the appropriate channels.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Present, communicate, and engage effectively with stakeholders to drive alignment and support for strategic initiatives.
  • Product Portfolio Optimization: Lead efforts to optimize the performance of the product portfolio, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with market needs.
  • Team Development and Culture Building: Foster a positive team culture by continuing to build and develop the team. Empower your team members, enhance their skills, and promote a collaborative environment.
  • Operational Excellence: Conduct weekly board meetings with the team, focusing on well-being, workload management, priorities, execution, successes, and learnings.

Qualifications

As a person, you are passionate about people development, empowering team members while ensuring strategic alignment. You excel in strategic thinking, collaborating with key stakeholders to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives effectively. With strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, you navigate challenges with a structured and solution-oriented approach. Your stakeholder management expertise allows you to confidently engage with steering committees and negotiate with stakeholders of varying complexities, driving alignment and successful outcomes.

 

To excel in this position, you should have:

  • At least 3 years of leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing and developing teams. As well as driving the team leadership based on agreed direction & priorities.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Natural Sciences, with an understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and/or medical devices.
  • An understanding of medical devices, design control, moulding/components, assembly, electronics, and authority submissions is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English writing and speaking

 

About the Department

The position of Manager for the NPF team currently has 11 employees as direct reports and is a part of our Durable department, being responsible for all products in the Durable portfolio.

The Durable Team is under the Device Development (DD) area, a part of Finished Product MSAT, which links between Development and Production.

In Device Development, our main task is to drive the introduction of new Novo Nordisk device products into the market while maintaining and developing variants of our marketed device. Our deliverables directly impact our ability to deliver to current patients, as well as entry to new markets - reaching even more patients.
