Your new role
As a Laboratory Technician in the Mammalian Cell Bank, you will play a key role in building, maintaining, and safeguarding mammalian cell banks that support Novo Nordisk’s product portfolio from early development through to discontinuation. The role combines practical laboratory work with strong ownership of documentation, equipment, and operational standards in a GMP‑regulated setting.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing laboratory production and handling of mammalian cell banks in accordance with GMP requirements
- Maintaining and overseeing cell bank inventory throughout the product lifecycle
- Executing hands‑on laboratory work with mammalian cell cultures and related techniques
- Ensuring accurate, structured, and compliant documentation of experimental and production data
- Supporting laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, calibration, and facility‑related tasks
- Actively being part of a rotational on-call watch (approximately every 6th week) to safeguard the cell bank freezers in case of alarms
The role requires a structured and reliable approach, with a strong sense of accountability for both data quality and laboratory standards. You will be working closely with the team’s other Laboratory Technician to ensure daily operations run smoothly.
Your new department
You will join the Cell Banks team within CMC Process Operations, part of Global Manufacturing & Supply. The team is responsible for manufacturing and maintaining cell banks that form the biological starting material of Novo Nordisk’s therapies.
The department is characterised by high technical competence, close collaboration, and a shared responsibility for delivering robust, compliant solutions. We work across development stages, continuously optimising processes while adhering to applicable GxP requirements, ensuring stable supply to patients around the world.
Your skills and qualifications
We are looking for a technically strong and dependable laboratory professional who takes pride in precision and quality.
You bring:
- An education as a Laboratory Technician or Biomedical Laboratory Scientist (Bioanalytiker)
- Practical experience with mammalian cell culture or similar laboratory work
- A structured mindset with strong attention to detail and adherence to procedures
- The ability to work independently while contributing actively to team performance
- Good written and spoken English and Danish communication skills
- >3 years of experience from a GMP‑regulated production or laboratory environment

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 499,600 DKK to 643,200 DKK (DK), corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
