The Position  

As a key account manager in FPMSAT Packaging Strategic Engineering, you operate in the space between NN corporate global supplier contracting and day-to-day vendor interaction in project execution. Your role involves building relationships with a selected portfolio of suppliers, enabling you to maintain an overview of supplier capacity, capabilities, and potential risks. Additionally, you serve as a point of escalation. 

Moreover, a key task is to spearhead the development of a best-in-class supplier management organization through continuous evaluation of the supplier landscape strategy against NN needs, while leading the creation of governance, tools, and templates. 

  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned Product Supply suppliers, collaborating closely with Investment, Engineering & Sourcing (IES). 
  • Maintain oversight of key packaging equipment suppliers, assessing capacity, capabilities, and overall performance to support management prioritization. 
  • Provide recommendations on supplier selection during the project concept phase and support negotiations for new packaging and supporting equipment. 
  • Conduct and facilitate business review meetings with suppliers to ensure alignment on performance, cost, quality, and sustainability. 
  • Lead the development of tools, templates, and governance frameworks to enhance strategic supplier management and optimize demand-supply assessments. 

 

Qualifications  

As a person do you thrive with building relationships internally and externally in a global setting. You have solid business acumen, and you can translate complex matters to easy comprehensive needs.   

We expect the ideal candidate to: 

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field 
  • At least 5 years experience within vendor management and supplier interaction in a global setting 
  • Experience within engineering, sourcing, or otherwise relevant from a regulated industry e.g. pharmaceutical, aviation, etc.  
  • It would be considered an advantage if you have experience with machine vendors and within a regulated industry 
  • Full proficiency in written and spoken English.
