The position
As an IT Supporter, you will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver excellent support and ensure the high performance of our IT systems. By joining the newly established IT, Data, and Digital team, you will play a key role in shaping our IT support approach, driving continuous improvement, maximizing uptime, and ensuring compliance.
Your key activities include:

  • Providing IT support for Flexternal and other solutions to maintain a stable supplier production network, ensure system compliance and security, and minimize production downtime in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Leading small-scale IT upgrades, patching, and hardware replacement projects, ensuring internal stakeholder alignment, supplier coordination, and lifecycle management of IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Enforcing IT security and data compliance policies, assist in identifying and mitigating security risks, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Acting as an SME for the Flexternal solution, providing guidance and expertise to the broader GCMD team.
  • Drive enhancements in production IT processes by applying analytical skills and LEAN methodologies to improve efficiency and system performance.

 

As an IT Supporter, you will have the authority to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while implementing IT strategies and policies as directed by senior management. The role requires regular coordination with internal teams, outsourcing staff, and consultants to ensure smooth IT operations while maintaining independence in diagnosing and resolving issues within established guidelines.

 

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we imagine you:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, engineering, or a related field—preferably with a background in production—or have few years of relevant IT experience.
  • Possess proven experience in the operation and maintenance of IT systems, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Have experience with IT security, data compliance, and documented knowledge of ISO, GMP, and GxP regulations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in both spoken and written English, along with strong analytical, networking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Be quality-minded, structured, highly responsible, and willing to travel occasionally to support global suppliers.

 

About the department
IT, Data and Digital is a newly established team in the GCMD Business Support department. In Business Support we are responsible for driving cross functional strategic priorities and support across GCMD within strategy deployment, communications, finance, LEAN, IT, digitalisation, training, quality and EHS.
Global Contract Manufacturing Devices is responsible for managing the global external production network for device components and pen needles. We are office based with shopfloors at Contract Manufacturing Organisations on a global scale. Collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders internally and externally is crucial for us to succeed. 
You will collaborate with talented colleagues in GCMD. You will join new team of fun and dedicated colleagues who come together to set direction and support GCMD through its rapid journey of growth.
