The position
As Clean Utility Engineer (Engineering Responsible), you will collaborate with project team leadership and functional line representatives to design clean utilities for a new capacity expansion project. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the future API manufacturing processes.
The finished facility will employ approximately 340 colleagues and feature state-of-the-art technology for new processes and products. This expansion will enable us to serve more people living with serious chronic diseases, including rare diseases, and promote life-changing careers for our employees.


Your responsibilities will include:
•    Leading and driving clean utility design with the team and engineering partners.
•    Communicating and collaborating with engineering partners, suppliers, and the team.
•    Handling technical discussions with equipment suppliers in alignment with the project scope.
•    Leading commissioning strategy, validation and operations within clean utility in collaboration with the project team.
•    Setting directions in design equipment, components, and physical construction.


As Clean Utility Engineer, you will oversee all aspects of the process, including design, layout, manufacturing, construction, qualification, validation, operations and documentation. This project offers a unique opportunity to participate in a high-profile initiative and help shape a new department while representing clean utility design at a senior manufacturing level.
 
Qualifications
The ideal candidates for the Clean Utility Engineer position should have the following qualifications:
•    An academic degree in engineering or similar 
•    5+ years of utilities experience within production, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
•    Experience from working in a GMP regulated industry.
•    Fluency in spoken and written English is required. Knowledge of Danish or a willingness to learn is advantageous.

 

As a professional, you should be able to work independently, take initiative, and have a forward-thinking outlook. You should enjoy collaborating, learning, and sharing information with others, and be driven by achieving great results together with colleagues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential, enabling you to interact effectively with stakeholders from different functions and parts of the organization.

 

About the department
Our team is working to expand the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) capacity of our Biotech production in Hillerød. You will become a part of one of the most significant expansion projects in Novo Nordisk – and when finished the facility will employ app. 340 colleagues. The highly automated facility will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology that is flexible to accommodate new processes and products. It will expand our capacity for our portfolio of clinical late phase products to serve more people living with serious chronic diseases including rare diseases.
