Associate Manager for the Cartridge Team in Device Development

The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Manager to lead our Cartridge Team within Device Development. Based in Hillerød, this position involves working closely with both the team and the broader management structure to ensure the successful delivery of products and processes. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of 16 skilled professionals, organized into two groups: The Product Platform group and The Mechanical group, each with distinct responsibilities for design control activities and mechanical designs of marketed combination products and devices.
  • Take ownership of globally launched combination products, accessories, and a new combination product set for launch. Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulatory requirements, including design control, risk management, and documentation.
  • Champion continuous strategic development to support the scalability journey. This includes aligning team efforts with the increasing growth of our device portfolio and ensuring our processes and workflows are future-ready.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment with clear priorities, supporting continuous improvement and maintaining a high-quality mindset.
  • Continuously optimize workflows to align with strategic goals and improve operational efficiency, focusing on streamlining processes and adopting best practices.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal departments and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on team goals and product strategies.
  • Promote a positive work culture, encourage professional growth, and maintain team spirit, ensuring team members feel supported and motivated.

 

Qualifications

To succeed in this position, you have:

  • A Master’s degree in Natural Sciences or Engineering (e.g., Engineering, Pharma, Chemistry) with strong business acumen.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and fostering collaboration within a large organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, including fluency in spoken and written English, with a focus on transparent team dialogue.
  • Expertise in combination products, devices, and familiarity with design control processes, GxP production, or regulated industries, especially in pharmaceuticals.
  • A positive, flexible, and persistent mindset, thriving in dynamic environments and leveraging business understanding and stakeholder management skills.

 

About the department

The position is in Device Development which is part of Novo Nordisk Finished Product Manufacturing Science & Technology (FPMSAT). Device Development holds the design responsibility for Novo Nordisk’s medical devices and delivery systems and is the link between Device R&D and production. In Device Development, the main task is to maintain marketed products as well as develop new variants of existing product platforms. Our deliverables have direct impact on our ability to deliver to the market, on patient safety, and on compliance with the requirements of the authorities. You will join the Cartridges and Needles Team in Device Development. You will be heading up the Cartridge team and be working alongside colleagues with various educations and work experience.
