Biotech & Rare Disease QC Hillerød
Do you want to help ensure that we deliver quality analyses on Novo Nordisk's new products in Biotech & Rare Diseases (BRD), and do you take pride in using systematic problem-solving to find the way forward? Then this position as an analytical chemist at Novo Nordisk, BRD QC Hi is just for you.

About the department
BRD QC Hi handles chemical and biological analyses of API and finished products on 5 new BRD products.

We are a department where optimization and problem-solving for new analysis methods is a core task; and at the same time, we are about to go to market on our first products. In everyday life, we handle many different tasks, from general approvals to problem-solving on our methods, equipment, or processes in the department. We have a significant focus on optimizing our methods, but we are also constantly looking at how we can make our processes and workflows even better.

The department consists of approx. 40 employees, divided into several teams. For our HPLC team in Hillerød, we are looking for a skilled chemist who has a Can-do approach and finds systematic problem-solving motivating.

The job
As a chemist, you will be responsible for part of the team's HPLC analyses and chemical analyses (pH and Osmo). Here you will contribute by assessing and approving analysis results for product development, clinical use, and later for releasing the product to the market.

In collaboration with the team's Laboratory Technicians, you will help solve both minor and more significant complex issues and optimize the methods so that we ensure that the methods can run stably when they are approved for the market. With this, you help to ensure that we get the products to market on time with analysis methods of the right quality. Approval of results, systematic problem solving, and optimization of methods are the most significant focus areas in the team and the department.

Furthermore, you will:

  • Participate in equipment qualifications and help make your mark on our laboratory.
  • Be continuously improving and doing systematic problem solving, according to cLEAN.
  • Support the team's Laboratory Technicians in the day-to-day operations and thus support a GMP and compliance level that meets the authority's requirements.
  • Prepare various documentation such as protocols, reports, analysis regulations, instructions, deviations, change applications, and laboratory studies.

We are a well-functioning department with an informal atmosphere and good collegiality, and we have a significant degree of cooperation and knowledge-sharing across teams and other departments. We can offer many exciting professional challenges, as well as good development opportunities both professionally and personally.

In order to qualify for the position, we imagine that:

  • You have an academic science education such as chemistry, biology, biotechnology, or similar.
  • You are familiar with GMP, and previous experience from similar position would be an advantage.
  • You have experience with HPLC analyses and equipment.
  • You can speak and write Danish on a professional level.

As a person, we imagine that you are characterized by having a high willingness to communicate and are service-oriented and flexible. You bring a high degree of self-motivation and a pronounced team spirit and convince through independent work.
