The Position

As our new Advanced Process Engineer, you will be working in our moulding production in Device Component Manufacturing (DCM) in Hillerød. Here you will be supporting the equipment responsible engineers in our Equipment & Automation Support team.

 

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate daily with process-responsible colleagues working with advanced robotic equipment and laser engraving technology. The focus is on continuously improving processes to maximize output and ensure the highest quality, working closely with skilled workers, engineers, and maintenance teams — both within the team, across the department, and throughout the factory.

 

With exposure to a wide range of processes and equipment, this position provides valuable insights into core aspects of production. It’s a chance to contribute fresh ideas and suggest improvements that positively impact both colleagues and, ultimately, patients worldwide.

 

New team members receive a comprehensive introduction to production equipment, work processes, and key stakeholders across the organization. At the same time, participation in the Novo Nordisk LEAN training program will help you develop essential tools and ensures alignment with internal LEAN procedures.

The main tasks will be to:

  • Perform capacity and improvement project activities, maintenance and automation. Conduct technical problem solving using LEAN activities.

  • Take care of quality cases, change control and implementation, data usage.

  • Perform shop floor related tasks, follow-ups and coordination.

  • Be responsible for administrative tasks.

 

Qualifications

To be considered for this position you:

  • Hold min. bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, automation engineering, production engineering, robotics, or similar field.

  • Are familiar with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) production.

  • Are curious, like to explore new ways and are willing to learn and to share.

  • Are proficient in written and spoken Danish and English.

 

Having previous experience within injection moulding machines, automation or other similar production processes will be considered an advantage.

 

Being curious and able to learn about a lot of things, and putting that knowledge to good use, will be an advantage for you in this position. The position could be taken up by a newly educated engineer or an experienced professional, who would like to grow and learn.

 

As a person you are ambitious, proactive and able to interact with people at all levels in the local organization. Being able to keep an overview of tasks and deliveries, break complex problems down to small bits through thoughtful analysis is key to succeed I this role.

 

Having a detail-oriented and structured approach to work tasks, while also being able to look at the bigger picture, execute tasks and coordinate activities quickly and efficiently is a crucial part of our daily work.

About the Department

Based in Hillerød, Denmark, we operate a production of 44 injection moulding machines, and four assembly lines, producing more than 150 million motor modules for the insulin pen device every year. We also introduce and mature new products and technology to the benefit of other Novo Nordisk production sites worldwide. Our equipment also includes different generations of robots, laser decoration equipment, vision, raw material plant and various utility equipment.

 

The department consists of highly engaged operators, skilled workers, process- and mould engineers, quality supporters, validation specialists and administrative workers.
