The Position

As an Advanced Packaging Engineer, you will be part of the team responsible for the packaging process, design, and standardization of packaging equipment for our product platforms within Glass, Durable (multiple use) and tablets.

 

This is a great opportunity to enter projects in the development and implementation phase for packaging lines across our many production sites, impacting both new and established products.

 

Our team offers gaining rich and diverse professional experience with strong collaboration with multiple stakeholders from corporate level to local sites, R&D, production, suppliers, Quality Assurance, and other specialists. Our colleagues are all from different domains in pharma development and from different regions and cultures.

 

Travelling activities to sites and suppliers are expected for at least 6 weeks per year.

 

The main tasks will be to:
•    Contribute to the design and standardization of equipment and related packaging processes.
•    Collaborate with Device and Delivery Solutions (Device R&D) to ensure design for manufacturability within our new product platforms.
•    Be engaged in tests, installation, and validation of packaging equipment on packaging sites around the world.
•    Collaborate with our Information Technology/Operational Technology (IT/OT) department, on our technology journey towards Industry 4.0.

 

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you:
•    Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in process engineering, mechanical engineering, food engineering, pharmacy, science, or other relevant field.
•    Possess at least 2 years of experience working with packaging.
•    Have a good understanding of technical aspects of the manufacturing processes.
•    Have a previous experience with packaging vials, manual prefilled syringes, bottling tablets or blisters, which is considered a plus.
•    Are fluent in written and spoken English.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential in the role, enabling to thrive in an international and dynamic environment. Being a true team player is crucial, with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve common goals.

 

About the Department

You will join Finish Production Manufacturing Science and Technology (FPMSAT) and the Packaging Manufacturing Development team responsible for packaging Novo Nordisk finished products, primarily pen injectors, vials, syringes and tablets.


We are bridging product development to production, and we are driving development and standardization of new and smarter packaging processes. Further we are responsible for establishing packaging capacity worldwide for new and marketed products in compliance with our current regulatory requirements and in close interaction with Novo Nordisk global production sites. We have an end-to-end presence from device development to production implementation and support to running production.

 

Our department located in Hillerød includes 170+ highly engaged skilled professionals from project managers, specialists, validation, process, and science experts. We are collaborating with multiple stakeholders and striving for excellence in project execution, science engineering, innovation, and technology.
