Your new role

As Area Manager, in Hanoi, you will guide and develop a team of medical representatives to successfully execute the business plan for your territory, built on our Diabetes and Obesity portfolio strategy. You will combine commercial ambition with people leadership, ensuring every activity translates into stronger healthcare partnerships and better outcomes for patients.

 

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Planning and organising territory activities and projects to achieve or exceed performance goals, while keeping every initiative aligned with company strategy

- Managing territory performance, validating the customer database and maintaining product information and educational activities across your assigned area

- Coaching medical representatives in the field to strengthen detailing skills, territory management, communication and product knowledge

- Developing, motivating and supervising your team to foster a high-performance mindset and adherence to the working plan

- Collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Market Access and Customer Engagement to maximise the performance of our products

- Building and maintaining strong networks and healthcare partnerships in your region

- Ensuring all activities comply with company policies, regulations and the Code of Conduct, and supervising their implementation across the team

 

Your new department

You will join our affiliate team in Vietnam, where a passionate group of commercial and medical professionals work to bring our Diabetes and Obesity portfolio closer to the healthcare professionals and patients who need it. As Area Manager, you will play a pivotal role in translating that ambition into results on the ground – leading a frontline team that is redefining how chronic disease care is delivered locally.

 

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for an experienced commercial leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings both strategic thinking and hands-on coaching ability. To succeed in this role, you will have:

 

- A bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or a related field

- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a sales representative in the pharmaceutical industry, including 3+ years of people management experience

- Strong leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams

- A solid understanding of territory management, customer engagement and compliance in a regulated industry

- Native-level Vietnamese and good communication skills in English
