The Position
As a Supply Manager at Novo Nordisk, you'll play a pivotal role in driving and developing category teams, collaborating with Quality, Category Managers, and other stakeholders to execute the Category Plan and address specific issues. You'll optimize categories across the supply chain, from service suppliers to Novo Nordisk production, ensuring seamless collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Driving tasks and projects within the relevant category, as defined in the category plan(s) or prioritized by the Category Group
  • Monitoring and driving supplier performance, ensuring adherence to agreements, on-time delivery, and quality performance
  • Conducting supplier status meetings and drive supplier-related projects
  • Managing supplier capacity by coordinating short-term forecasts with relevant stakeholders, matching supplier capacities to our future production demands
  • Ensuring supplier compliance with Novo Nordisk purchasing requirements, including managing supplier-related change requests
  • Driving and contributing to supplier/supply risk management in the relevant sourcing categories

 
Qualifications 
To thrive in this role, we believe you to: 

  • Hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Bring at least 2 years of experience in category management, procurement, or supply chain management, ideally in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries
  • Have proven experience in supplier management, including performance monitoring, negotiation, and risk management practices
  • Demonstrate knowledge of quality assurance and regulatory compliance in supply chain management
  • Display proficiency in both spoken and written English

It would be considered as an advantage if you have project management skills with the ability to drive tasks and projects to completion.
On a personal level, you have strong communication and stakeholder management skills, allowing you to influence decision-making and navigate a complex sourcing environment. You are proactive, structured, and are capable of working on your own as in a team, effortlessly securing commitment from both internal and external stakeholders, while thriving in cross-functional project teams. With an outgoing personality, you foster collaboration, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive work environment. 
 
About the department 
SSIMS is one of the central sourcing units in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division, responsible for short- medium- and long-term strategic sourcing activities, which involves global identification and strategic management of suppliers for Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production sites.

You will be part of a diverse department that ensures global supply of Energy, Production Services, and Supplies such as Gowning, Waste Management, Sterilizations Services, and other critical production materials and services. Joining our team, you will be surrounded by several experienced international Category Managers, allowing you to continue your development within the sourcing domain.
