Student Assistant - Data Analytics

Category:  Education
Location:

Høje-Taastrup, Capital Region of Denmark, DK

Are you passionate about using data to create real impact in global manufacturing? Join us as a Student Assistant in Global Finished Product (FP) Performance and gain hands-on experience improving processes across Finished Production sites worldwide. This is your opportunity to develop your analytical skills and contribute to standardising data-driven decision making in a truly global production setting.

Your new role

In this role, you will support Finished Production sites globally by maintaining and developing data tools that enable smarter, data-driven performance improvements. You will work closely with data stewards, the Data Insights team and the OEE platforms team, while gaining exposure to governance and standardisation processes across multiple sites.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Building and updating dashboards and reports (preferably in Power BI) to support data‑driven decision-making.
  • Performing data analyses to identify trends, anomalies and improvement opportunities across production lines.
  • Supporting the development of standardised KPI views enabling cross‑site performance comparisons.
  • Engaging with shopfloor stakeholders to translate operational needs into meaningful data visualisations.
  • Contributing to data availability and quality efforts by identifying data gaps and inconsistencies.

The position is based at our Taastrup site, with occasional visits to other sites in the Copenhagen area (Hillerød, Ballerup).

Your new department

You will join the Global FP Performance team, consisting of around eight colleagues who collaborate to support and optimise Finished Production processes across all global sites. Our department is part of the FPMI VP area, which works to ensure standardisation, technical excellence and continuous improvement across assembly and packaging lines. We are a diverse, international team committed to enabling Novo Nordisk to serve even more patients through strong performance and data-driven insights.

Your skills and qualifications

To succeed in this role, you are currently enrolled in a relevant MSc programme and bring a strong analytical mindset combined with curiosity and a willingness to learn.

We expect you to have:

  • Enrolment in a MSc programme within Data Science, Business Intelligence, Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with or strong interest in data analysis or business intelligence (e.g., through coursework, projects, or previous student roles).
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Interest in regulated or process-driven industries; experience with LEAN or GMP is an advantage but not required.

As a person, you are collaborative, proactive and solution-oriented. You enjoy working independently, are curious about exploring new ways of using data, and are motivated by turning complex information into clear insights that support operational performance.
