The position 

As an intern in GSOD & SSIMS, you will gain experience in project management, and data analytics used for developing long-term sourcing strategies and preparing business cases. Additionally, your analytical & decision-making skill set will be improved through different sourcing projects.
Your main responsibilities include: 

  • Supporting various sourcing categories in running tenders, preparing for negotiations, managing suppliers, and driving cross-functional projects
  • Staying updated on market dynamics and trends to help shape sourcing strategies
  • Developing long-term sourcing strategies and preparing business cases
  • Making fact-based decisions and presenting your conclusions clearly and concisely
  • Working with key software tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Coupa to support day-to-day tasks

Practicalities: 

  • Internship period: 6-12 months 
  • Working hours: Full-time (37 hours a week)  
  • Start date: February 2025 
  • Location: Taastrup, Denmark 
  • Internships are remunerated if your educational track allows
  • Full-time Danish work permit is required for non-EU candidates (for international students, please provide documentation) 

Students must be enrolled at a university through the entire internship period. Both the internship period and working hours will be flexible to accommodate school projects/exams. 

 

Qualifications 
You are currently enrolled in a relevant Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent. 
We are seeking students with the following skills and experience: 

  • Passionate about problem-solving and excellent analytical skills 
  • Positive-minded with a healthy sense of humour 
  • Sound personal judgment and strong interpersonal skills 
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office toolbox 
  • Fluency in oral and written English 

As a person, you are known to be motivated, and proactive while taking responsibility for your performance and learning. Furthermore, you have an international mindset and thrive working in a global setting. 
 
About the department 
GSOD & SSIMS consist of +150 individuals from more than 25 different countries and a great variety of educational backgrounds including Supply Chain Management, Economics, Engineering, Science, and Legal. 
GSOD & SSIMS are the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division. We are responsible for securing that we have suppliers in place that can support Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production. Through collaboration with our international supplier networks, we ensure the availability of the supply needed to develop and produce products that help millions of people around the world live with chronic diseases.
