Senior Scientist - API
Høje-Taastrup, Capital Region of Denmark, DK
Do you want to make a real impact by ensuring analytical solutions that bring innovative medicines to patients worldwide? Are you motivated by collaboration with global, externals partners and complex projects? If so, this could be your next career move.
Join External Analysis in Emerging Technologies and help shape the future of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs).
Your new role
As a Senior Scientist, you will provide scientific expertise and GMP knowledge to ensure robust analytical programmes at our Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs). You will support activities from late-stage development through commercialisation and contribute to regulatory submissions.
Day-to-day your tasks will include:
- Providing scientific and procedural support to CMOs and internal stakeholders.
- Supporting analytical activities after Phase 3 clinical completion through to commercial production
- Managing technical transfer and implementation of analytical methods between partners.
- Authoring and reviewing SOPs, protocols, reports, and transfer plans.
- Driving optimisation of internal processes and workflows.
As we are a developing area, you must be able to set direction and use your previous experience to define ways of working, also when the path is not clear. You will be responsible for taking products to market, whereas you need to have a strong foundation in GMP to bridge between development and commercial aspects and create robust and reliable processes that can support commercialization of the products.
You will be part of a team of subject matter experts, fostering an open, positive, and collaborative atmosphere for discussing ideas, problems, and solutions. Given that many CMOs are internationally based, the position may involve some travel, and meetings outside of normal working hours can occur. You can expect a maximum of 14 days of travel per year.

- Bring experience from a GMP-regulated environment, such as a QC laboratory.
- Have strong knowledge of GMP, ICH guidelines, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
- Are familiar with deviations, change requests, out-of-specifications, and method validation.
