The Position

As a Senior Project Manager, you will hold a critical role in the implementation of the business plan of the SVP External Supply area, ensuring alignment with Novo Nordisk's long-term goals. Here you will be leading and executing strategic projects, as part of the large-scale Transformation in External Supply in PSQIT, where you will interact with the business units and top management to ensure involvement and progress. The recruitment process is ongoing, and positions will be filled on a continuous basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management - Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of high-impact projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities. Oversee the generation of innovative project ideas and the identification of best practices to drive continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement - Manage relationships with senior stakeholders, ensuring clear, consistent, and compelling communication to align expectations and project outcomes. Facilitate strategic discussions and presentations, turning complex information into actionable insights.
  • Project Controlling - Monitor progress, control risks, and initiate mitigations while ensuring timely execution of key project activities. Drive resource allocation and establish overviews to support both current and future planning.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - foster collaboration across business units and departments, ensuring cohesive project execution and alignment with organizational objectives. Lead and facilitate effective meetings, driving productive discussions and managing outputs efficiently.

 

This position requires a high level of independence, a strategic mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and stakeholders.

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has:

  • A master’s degree in economics, business administration, engineering, science, medical, or a related field, with proficiency in both written and spoken English.
  • Extensive experience in managing complex and large-scale projects from a well-reputed strategy consultancy or a business development, strategy, or transformation department.
  • Proven ability to work independently, lead cross-functional projects, and drive change at all levels of the organization, supported by strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly, both verbally and in writing, while effectively engaging stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with LEAN methodology, including Operational Excellence projects, Kaizen, and VSM, with experience in management consultancy or regulated industries considered a plus. (Experience in Operational Excellence/Optimization projects is a benefit but not mandatory.)

About the department

ES Portfolio & Strategy is a team within the department External Supply Business Development and Support. ES Portfolio and Strategy team is responsible for driving and overseeing the ES Transformation, deploying the newly launched ES Business Plan, and driving the ES Strategy development each year. This also includes portfolio management and prioritisation of strategic business initiatives across External Supply, encompassing all transformation related initiatives across the line.
