The position 

 

As Senior Production Finance Partner, you will play a key role in strengthening financial transparency, governance and decision-making across the SA&CM VP area. You will combine hands-on production cost controlling with financial planning, analysis, and business partnering. 

 

Working closely with stakeholders across the business incl. management, project managers, API Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations, you will analyze and provide timely financial insights, explain key cost drivers and support actions that improve performance. You will serve as a trusted financial sparring partner to management in building the processes and transparency needed in a newly established area. 

 

 

The area 

 

Business Support in the Synthetic API & Contract Manufacturing is a newly established area and plays a central role in driving a key strategic area of Novo Nordisk. SA&CM consists of both office-based employees, primarily in Denmark, and a production site in the US.  You will be part of the PMO & Finance team in Business Support, and become a central part of SA&CM. The position is located in Høje Taastrup Denmark.

 

 

 

Your main responsibilities 

 

  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including scrap, materials, overheads, inventory
  • Prepare management reports and KPI dashboards, and present financial performance and cost drivers
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
  • Perform variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, capacities and standard costs
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand deviations, implement corrective actions and improve processes 
  • Strengthen financial reporting methods, governance, and data quality  
  • Support product costing and unit-cost calculations in collaboration with finance 
  • Support budgeting and rolling forecast processes
  • Provide financial input to production and investment projects, including cost estimates and scenario analyses
  • Support financial closing activities and review accruals, provisions and production-related accounting postings

 

 

Qualifications 

 

To succeed in this role, you have: 

 

  • A master’s degree in finance, economics, business administration or another relevant field. 
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, budgeting or budget controlling. 
  • Solid experience working in with production finance in pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify patterns, trends and anomalies in financial data. 
  • Experience preparing and presenting financial reports and translating financial performance into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders. 
  • Strong digital capabilities and experience with MS365 tools and SAP. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Limited to occasional travel is expected for the position.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 651,000 to 956,900 DKK (DK), corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience. 

 

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
