The position
As Senior Manager, you will lead a high-performing team, fostering a strong department culture and ensuring alignment with the ES vision. You will collaborate with stakeholders across ES and Product Supply, Quality, & IT (PSQIT) to set the direction and drive future growth.
You will be responsible for all Brownfield Acquisitions requiring ES involvement, ensuring seamless integration of externally acquired sites into relevant ES areas while standardizing processes.
These projects will be led by a team of Project Managers working closely with internal stakeholders, the acquired company, and Suppliers/CMOs within the acquired Brownfield’s supply chain.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Setting a strategic direction for the team by clearly communicating vision, goals, and performance expectations, while fostering a supportive team culture
- Ensuring seamless integration of CMOs & Suppliers into the Supply Chain, standardising processes and driving continuous improvement
- Securing timely integration for smooth transitions and highest possible value creation from Brownfield Acquisitions, aligning with the overall strategy
- Establishing processes for ES to effectively manage brownfield acquisitions, supporting strategic ambitions and driving efficiencies
- Driving and continuously developing the CoE regarding Brownfield Acquisitions, leveraging the synergies across areas and functions
- Maintaining compliance with relevant SOPs and Quality Management Systems
Your role also involves ensuring excellent collaboration with various areas, including Chemistry, Manufacturing & Control, Business Development, PSQIT integration, Supply Chain and Manufacturing Development, and Business Support areas to enable running of cross-functional activities, allow pulling in resources on collaboration projects as well as individual development opportunities.
Given the role's complexity and the locations of the acquisitions, your role would require working across different time zones. Additionally, some travel is required to visit the various projects.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we believe you:
- Hold a master’s degree in business, supply chain management, project management, or a related field
- Demonstrate experience in people management, ideally within cross-functional, tactical, and strategic international environments
- Bring strong experience in project or program management, preferably within production projects in regulated organisations
- Possess solid communication and stakeholder management skills, along with a high-quality mindset
- Display full proficiency in both spoken and written English
It would be considered as a strong advantage if you have M&A experience.

About the Department
Alliance, Acquisition & Product Portfolio Management is a CoE that covers both Global Strategic Outsourcing & Devices and Strategic Sourcing Inbound Materials & Services units. We are responsible for securing that we have suppliers in place that can support Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production. Through collaboration with our international stakeholders and supplier networks, we ensure the availability of the supply needed to develop and produce products that help millions of people around the world live with chronic diseases.
You will join the Acquisitions department and be surrounded by several experienced Category Managers, Negotiators, Sourcing professionals, and experienced leaders, allowing you to continue your development.
