Join us on an exciting journey as we pursue an ambitious strategy for synthetic chemical API ingredients. Your new role
As a Senior Analytical Scientist - API, you'll provide scientific and GMP expertise to CMOs globally, ensuring robust analytical programs are implemented and maintained throughout product life-cycles. Working in a developing area, you'll set direction and define ways of working, bridging development and commercial aspects to bring products to market.

Your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Providing scientific and procedural support and expertise to CMOs and other stakeholders
  • Supporting analytical activities (including submissions) from phase 3 clinical studies throughout commercial life cycle
  • Leading regulatory submissions for emerging technology products
  • Handling technical transfer and implementing analytical methods to and from collaborative partners
  • Authoring and editing SOPs, reviewing protocols, reports, tech transfer plans, and other documentation
  • Building and optimizing internal processes and SOPs to support daily operations
  • Taking products to market by creating robust and reliable processes that support commercialization

In CMC & Product Supply, we cover the full value chain from drug and device development to marketed Novo Nordisk products. We are more than 30,000 colleagues across the globe with the shared responsibility of scaling molecules, processes, devices, and products, dedicated to supplying life-saving medicines to the patients who need them most.

 

You will join ET - External Analysis & QC, a department currently with teams based in USA and Denmark. We have a growing pipeline, many of which are based on new technology platforms coming through internal development projects or acquisitions. ET is well-known for having a pioneering spirit as well as a curious and daring approach, and we play a key role in developing and producing future treatments for millions of patients around the world. You'll be part of a diverse team of Analytical Project Managers, Senior Analytical Professionals and Analytical Professionals, fostering an open, positive, and collaborative atmosphere for discussing ideas, problems, and solutions.

 

Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for a scientist who thrives on flexibility and adaptation, with a firm hand when it comes to science and strong communication skills across all stakeholder levels. You'll bring with you:

  • A minimum of a master’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other similar scientific disciplines
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position, ideally within the pharmaceutical sector
  • +2 years of experience in API characterisation by LC-MS, GC-MS, ICP-MS, OES and NMR
  • Hands-on experience working in a GMP regulated environment, e.g. QC laboratory
  • Strong knowledge within GMP, ICH guidelines, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements
  • Experience working with deviations, change requests, out of specifications and method validation
  • Full professional proficiency in both spoken and written English

 

It is an advantage to have knowledge of late phase (phase 3 and ongoing) pharmaceutical development projects and previous experience working with chemical synthesis (e.g. small molecules, oligonucleotides or peptides).
