About the position
As the SVP Health & Safety (HS) Partner, you will play a pivotal role in creating a safe and healthy work environment by aligning ES with Novo Nordisk’s HS policies, strategies, and global standards (ISO 45001), while ensuring adherence to local regulations. You will drive the development and implementation of HS strategies, continuously improving processes and cultivating a safety-first culture throughout ES. In this role, you will oversee an effective HS management system, work closely with internal stakeholders, and promote proactive risk assessment, clear reporting, and ongoing improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure ES compliance with Novo Nordisk’s HS policies, strategies, targets, and global standards, including driving HS audits and initiatives.
- Develop and implement HS strategies, define ambition levels, and lead projects to enhance health and safety across ES.
- Assess legislative changes and corporate requirements, ensuring effective implementation and adherence across teams.
- Drive HS reporting on both SVP and CVP level, risk management systems, and continuous improvements, ensuring transparency and efficiency.
- Lead and support the HS and HS Representative organisation by providing guidance, training, and fostering alignment across all ES locations.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we imagine you have:
- Master’s degree or equivalent qualifications in a relevant field, with specific courses in health and safety management.
- Solid experience in health and safety processes and management, ideally within a regulated warehouse or production environment.
- Proven cross-functional experience, demonstrating subject matter expertise and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
- Preferably good understanding of health and safety management concepts, methodologies, and tools used by Novo Nordisk.
- Full proficiency in English, both spoken and written, with strong communication, coaching, and negotiation skills to drive results and motivate teams effectively.
The role demands a high degree of independence, strategic oversight, innovation, initiative, and strong organizational and planning skills to address and resolve health and safety challenges effectively.
You must be able to communicate clearly and assertively while navigating a complex stakeholder landscape, influencing the HS mindset and driving the adoption of requirements. As a proactive individual, you will demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and systematic thinking. You will consistently meet job requirements with clarity, ensuring a structured and organized approach to delivering solutions that support a well-managed environment and drive continuous improvement.
About the department
External Supply (ES) is a part of Novo Nordisk Product Supply, Quality and IT. We are responsible for driving external supply to Novo Nordisk manufacturing. We establish long-term strategic partnerships and supplier relations and negotiate agreements that provide efficient supply. As we continue to grow our business, we need sharp minds who want to join us in this journey.
You will be part of a department called Executive Office, while your role will extent across the SVP area. Executive Office consists of a team of between 10-15 colleagues supporting the SVP of External Supply and driving business improvements and projects across External Supply organisation with Business Partnering, Communication, LEAN, and Health and Safety. You will be part of a team where proactivity, continuous process improvements, a positive can-do energy, informal team setting, and stakeholder engagement is key. We focus on continuously developing individual and team competencies with a clear focus of people development.
