As Procurement Excellence Lead, you will help shape the future of strategic procurement across a global organisation. You will act as a specialist enabling category and sourcing managers as well as business stakeholders, by leading procurement excellence initiatives that strengthen capabilities, standardise processes and accelerate best practice. Your work will deliver measurable value today, building the procurement excellence that helps Global Manufacturing & Supply keep serving people living with serious chronic diseases.

What you'll bring

Here is what we're looking for so you can quickly assess your fit:

• Minimum Five years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or category management within a large international organisation.

• A proven track record of driving procurement excellence, process improvement and transformation initiatives.

• Experience designing and delivering capability-building programmes, training and organisational development activities.

• At least two years of change management experience, including leading transformation and embedding new ways of working.

• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, and the ability to build trusted partnerships at all levels, including senior leadership.

• Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on measurable business impact.

• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English.

• A master's degree, MBA or equivalent in supply chain management, business administration, engineering or a related field.

Useful, but not essential:

• Demonstrated success leading standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives in complex environments, including applying Lean methodologies.

• Exposure to market intelligence, strategy development and procurement best practices.

• Experience with conducting training of procurement professionals

• Experience with AI, automation or digital procurement tools that enhance efficiency and decision-making.

• Experience in highly regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, life sciences, MedTech or advanced manufacturing.

What you'll do

You will champion continuous improvement, change and stakeholder engagement, turning complex challenges into practical progress. In this role you will:

• Lead procurement excellence initiatives that improve performance and deliver measurable business value.

• Design and run capability building- programmes that help the two strategic sourcing units (Global Strategic Outsourcing & Devices (GSOD) and Global Direct Procurement (GDP) reach the next level.

• Standardise and simplify processes, applying Lean and continuous improvement principles across a global organisation.

• Lead change management for transformation initiatives, embedding new ways of working that last.

• Partner with procurement teams and business stakeholders to build alignment and secure buy-in at every level.

• Bring in innovative approaches, including new technologies, to sharpen decisions and expand the toolbox used in the units.

Who you'll work with

You will join Strategy, Sourcing & Negotiation, a centre of excellence working across the two strategic sourcing units (GSOD and GDP) that are part of Global Manufacturing & Supply.

Across these two units, we have the global direct spend responsibility managing a network of outsourced partnership and inbound materials critical for Global Manufacturing & Supply to manufacture products to millions of people around the world.

Our Strategy, Sourcing & Negotiation Centre of Excellence department is a dynamic and diverse team of specialists in strategy, sourcing, market intelligence, negotiation, contract management and project management with members from multiple nationalities and backgrounds.

Working across a dynamic global environment, you will bring people together around a shared vision, create clarity where things are stalling, and help teams adopt best practice at speed.

Salary: The annual base salary for this role ranges from DKK 742,600 to DKK 1,091,600, depending on the level of the position. Placement within the range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge and relevant experience.
