The position
In this role, you will work as a Subject Matter Expert providing technical leadership on Machine Safety and ATEX compliance, acting as an independent expert providing stra-tegic support and proactive advice to all Corporate Vice President areas engineers, Project Managers and Health & Safety organisation within ATEX and Machine Safety aspects of Development Product Portfolio & Emerging Technologies (DPP&ET) on a global level.
In this role, you will oversee the entire project lifecycle for ATEX equipment, including the selection of ATEX device manufacturers, design review and documentation revi-sion, conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), supervising installation, commis-sioning, and performing Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
Main responsibilities will be to:
- Conduct in-depth analysis/risk assessments of installed equipment, focusing on electrical and pneumatic circuits, and evaluate their compatibility with Machine Safety and ATEX standards
- Work closely with equipment suppliers to ensure compliance with ATEX and EU directives throughout the project
- Overview changes in legislation globally/international standards, proactively secure standards, procedure etc. are timely aligned and implemented
- Offer guidance and participate in investigations into more complex incidents involving machinery
- Provide guidance and participate in more complex risk assessments within in-vestment projects
Please note that you will be working on both sites Måløv and Høje Taastrup, other than a few days per week from home if desired. Furthermore, there can be some business trips related to projects at our foreign sites.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with the ability to manage and lead large projects with high quality standards in a multicultural environment.
To succeed in this role, you:
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- Have several years’ experience within Machine Safety related roles and are knowledgeable in EU and USA machine safety standards
- Have practical experience working with production equipment, particularly in ATEX environments
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Moreover, you demonstrate strong knowledge of Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the coming Machine Regulation 2023/1230/EC; while it will be a clear advantage if you have proven experience in the design and review of ATEX systems, control cabi-nets, and safety circuits and strong knowledge of ATEX DIRECTIVE 2014/34/EC.
On a personal level, you have the ability to identify better practices and creating im-provements in methods, techniques, and approaches, with a problem-solving attitude. You will work in a crossed matrix' organization, so you demonstrate excellent commu-nication skills to thrive on a high level of stakeholder management and coordination across.
Finally, you can set directions and deliver results within the context of a wider opera-tional area, are skilled in handling most situations independently and with routine, while seeking advice and guidance on more complex issues.
