Intern for Devices & Needles - Global Strategic Outsourcing & Devices

Apply your academic skills in a global organisation and gain hands‑on experience with strategic sourcing and supply management. In this role, you will be a part of a team working at the heart of Novo Nordisk’s device supply chain.
Your new role
As an intern, you will support the Devices & Needles team in a range of operational and strategic tasks, such as:
- Supporting supplier management activities and data workflows
- Assisting in the preparation of tenders, (cost) analyses, and business cases
- Conducting market and supply chain research for materials and device‑related components
- Supporting category managers on cross‑functional sourcing or development projects
- Helping prepare materials for stakeholder meetings, decisions, and supplier interactions
- Contributing to various team initiatives, including process improvements and documentation updates
You’ll gain exposure to a broad stakeholder landscape spanning Product Supply, R&D, Quality, Manufacturing Development, GSOD, and key suppliers across the world.
Practicalities
- Workload: Full-time preferred (37 hours/week), but flexibility can be discussed depending on exams
- Duration: 6–12 months
- The position is paid
- A valid Danish work permit is required (for non‑EU students)
Your new department
GSOD is responsible for the global outsourcing of medical devices across Novo Nordisk. In the Devices & Needles team, we work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure robust supply, high quality, cost‑effective solutions, and long‑term strategic partnerships.
You will join a dynamic, international, and collaborative team located in Høje Taastrup, working across our entire device portfolio, with a strong focus on supplier performance, cost competitiveness, long‑term sourcing strategies and internal governance.
Your skills and qualifications
We are looking for someone who is:
- Currently studying for a master’s degree within Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Materials Science, or similar
- Structured, curious, and motivated to learn about medical devices and strategic supplier management
- Analytical, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working with data
- A strong communicator with good stakeholder awareness
- Proactive, positive, and eager to contribute to team deliverables
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Comfortable working in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with dashboards or procurement tools is a plus
