The position
As our business continues to grow, we are seeking experienced contracting professionals to drive optimal commercial outcomes and ensure efficient contract execution across a diverse portfolio of suppliers, manufacturers, and partners.

 

As a Senior Contract Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Enhancing Contract Frameworks – Developing and refining global contract templates to be best-in-class and meet evolving business needs and compliance requirements.
  • Optimizing Contract Management Processes – Driving continuous improvements in contract management within the Strategy, Sourcing, and Negotiation Centre of Excellence to ensure efficiency and alignment across teams.
  • Leading Cross-Functional Collaboration – Managing the contract template forum across procurement, legal, and negotiation teams to integrate market trends and insights from recent negotiations.
  • Driving High-Impact Negotiations – Engaging in negotiations with global suppliers to secure the best commercial terms and establish robust, future-proof contracts.
  • Building Contracting Excellence – Elevating contract management by developing knowledge-sharing tools, simplifying processes, and providing training to strengthen contract and commercial management across the organization.

 

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A master’s degree in law, business administration, economics, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in contracting and commercial management, with a strong understanding of business models and negotiations.
  • Proven ability of complex commercial contract drafting.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience in business partnering within a matrix organization.
  • Full proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

 

Experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or life science industry is an advantage, but we also welcome candidates from other highly regulated sectors. About the department
Our Strategy, Sourcing, Negotiation CoE is a dedicated and fun group of more than 25 people with extensive experience in running tenders and negotiating high-profile contracts. We drive projects across our global organisation for direct sourcing. We are part of the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division, and we are commercially responsible. Through collaboration with our global supplier network, we ensure the availability of the supply needed to develop and produce products that help millions of people around the world to better live with chronic diseases.
