Your new role
As an Analytical Professional specialising in Inline NIR Spectroscopy, you will contribute to the development, implementation and optimisation of advanced Process Analytical Technology (PAT) solutions across manufacturing processes. Working in a highly collaborative environment, you will bridge analytical science, digitalisation and production to ensure robust and data-driven process understanding.
Your responsibilities will include:

Driving the development, validation and deployment of inline NIR spectroscopy solutions for pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

Developing and maintaining chemometric models to support process monitoring, optimisation and control strategies.

Collaborating closely with manufacturing, quality, automation and data science stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of PAT solutions.

Supporting troubleshooting activities, continuous improvement initiatives and process performance investigations using advanced analytical approaches.

Contributing to regulatory and GMP-compliant documentation, knowledge sharing and capability building within analytical technologies.

In CMC & Product Supply, we cover the full value chain from drug and device development to marketed Novo Nordisk products. We are more than 30,000 colleagues across the globe with the shared responsibility of scaling molecules, processes, devices, and products, dedicated to supplying lifesaving medicines to the patients who need them most.
You will join a department within Manufacturing Tech & Excellence focused on analytical science, process understanding and technology implementation. The team combines expertise in spectroscopy, chemometrics, data analysis and pharmaceutical manufacturing to support strategic initiatives across production sites. As part of a highly skilled and collaborative environment, you will work with experts from multiple disciplines while contributing directly to innovation and operational excellence.
Your skills and qualifications
We are looking for a curious and collaborative professional who enjoys solving complex analytical challenges and converting scientific insights into practical manufacturing solutions. You bring strong technical expertise along with the ability to engage a broad range of stakeholders.
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

A master's degree or PhD within Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Data Science, Process Engineering or a related scientific discipline.

Experience with NIR spectroscopy, chemometric modelling and multivariate data analysis within a regulated environment.

Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing, Process Analytical Technology (PAT) and GMP requirements.

Experience with analytical and data science tools such as MATLAB, Python, SIMCA or similar platforms.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, combined with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
Experience with advanced process monitoring, digital manufacturing initiatives or continuous process verification will be considered an advantage.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 570,200 to 838,100 DKK (DK), corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
