Then you might be the Advanced Distr. & Logistics Professional, we are looking for to join our Commercial Distribution team!
Your new role
As Advanced Distr. & Logistics Professional you will be responsible for ensuring efficient execution of deliveries to Novo Nordisk production sites, affiliates and external customers. Our processes are highly automated, and we strive for hands off processes. However, you will work closely with our Fourth Party Logistics (4PL) in relation to urgent shipment planning and execution, as well as coordinate between warehouses and freight forwarders, when needed.
Your key responsibilities will include to:
- Ensure efficient delivery execution in close collaboration with 4PL and internal stakeholders including monitoring our automated shipping processes and generating shipping documents
- Collaborate closely with our 4PL & warehouse regarding urgent shipment planning and execution and our other internal or external stakeholders to improve our processes
- Proactively resolve potential issues in cooperation with relevant stakeholders and colleagues, always trying to find root cause and prevent reoccurrence of the issue
- Maintain and create of master data e.g. material master, customer master, lead-time according to local guidelines
- Perform system test before implementation of new changes and releases and perform end-user training if new functionalities or changes to the system
Furthermore, you will participate in cLEAN® and other improvement activities and/or internal projects in relation to the shipping processes. The position requires a high level of independence. The Advanced Distr. & Logistics Professional must proactively solve potential issues in cooperation with relevant stakeholders and colleagues.
Your new department
Global Logistics & Distribution (GL&D) is overall responsible for the global distribution of Novo Nordisk products between production sites and to our affiliates and regional offices across the globe, focusing on delivering a high service while balancing environmental footprint with financial impact.
We are a department of about 80+ employees, divided in Global Distribution, Global GDP Compliance & Transport Control, Global Logistics and Global L&D Development & Sustainability, located at Novo Nordisk Supply Chain HQ in Taastrup. The open position is in Global Distribution.
Your skills and qualifications
- You have a relevant educational background within freight forwarding, supply chain, together with a bachelor’s degree in supply chain/logistics
- You have at least 5 years of experience with logistics and shipment coordination, preferably within pharma and GDP
- Ideally you have experience to use technical tools to enhance logistics operations, and profound experience with SAP in the delivery module
- Fluent in spoken and written English
As a person you are known for your positive and proactive approach. You have a strong drive, a sharp eye for details and good analytical skills as a foundation for making the right decisions. You maintain excellent relations with your stakeholders and can communicate clearly and concisely across cultures and organisational levels. You are a team player and have a structured work approach.
The department constantly seeks to continuously improve performance and robustness, and the logistics coordinator is expected to contribute to this development by participating in cLEAN® and other improvement activities and/or projects.
