Your new role
As Advanced Distribution & Logistics Professional (maternity cover), you will play a key role in ensuring efficient execution of deliveries to Novo Nordisk production sites, affiliates and external customers. You will step into a well‑established setup with highly automated shipping processes, where operational stability and close collaboration are essential.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring efficient delivery execution in close collaboration with our 4PL and internal stakeholders, including monitoring automated shipping processes and generating shipping documentation
- Coordinating urgent shipment planning and execution together with our 4PL, warehouses and freight forwarders when required
- Proactively identifying and resolving potential issues in cooperation with relevant stakeholders, focusing on root‑cause analysis and prevention of reoccurrence
- Maintaining and creating master data (e.g. material master, customer master and lead times) according to local guidelines
- Supporting system testing ahead of new releases and changes, and contributing to end‑user training when new functionalities are introduced
You will also contribute to cLEAN® activities and other improvement initiatives related to shipping processes. The role requires a high degree of independence and the ability to take ownership quickly during the maternity cover period.
Your new department
Global Logistics & Distribution (GL&D) is responsible for the global distribution of Novo Nordisk products between production sites and onwards to affiliates and regional offices worldwide. We focus on delivering a high level of service while balancing environmental footprint and financial impact.
The department consists of more than 80 employees across Global Distribution, Global GDP Compliance & Transport Control, Global Logistics and Global L&D Development & Sustainability. The position is anchored in Global Distribution and located at Novo Nordisk Supply Chain HQ in Høje‑Taastrup.
Your skills and qualifications
- You hold a relevant educational background within freight forwarding or supply chain, combined with a bachelor’s degree in supply chain or logistics
- You bring at least 5 years of experience with logistics and shipment coordination, preferably within pharma and GDP‑regulated environments
- Experience from a role as freight forwarder or logistic coordinator is considered an advantage
- You have strong system understanding and hands‑on experience with SAP, particularly within the delivery module, and are comfortable working with automated logistics setups
- You are fluent in spoken and written English

You have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to communicate clearly across cultures and organisational levels. You thrive in collaboration, build strong stakeholder relationships and are motivated to contribute to continuous improvement.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from DKK 570,200 to DKK 838,100, corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short‑term and/or long‑term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
