Your new role
As HR Business Partner, you'll be part of the People & Organisation Team (P&O) and act as a trusted partner to the P&O Director, driving the full employee lifecycle and ensuring HR excellence across our Belgium & Luxembourg affiliate. This is a role where strategic thinking meets hands-on execution while ensuring the confidentiality of all business matters. In this position your ability to balance people-focus with process rigor will make a tangible difference.
Day-to-day your tasks will include:
- Collaborating with the P&O Director to align People strategy with local business objectives and ensure effective implementation
- Driving continuous improvements in HR policies, processes and systems by staying ahead of market trends and best practices
- Supporting end-to-end talent management including recruitment, onboarding, development initiatives, succession planning and diversity programmes. Coordinating HR operations such as payroll preparation, benefits administration, HR reporting, budgeting support and employee data management
- Ensuring full compliance with Belgian labour law and Novo Nordisk policies, maintaining accurate documentation and staying current with legislative changes
- Providing expert guidance to people leaders on performance management, employee relations and organisation design to create and sustain a healthy workplace
- Contributing to organisational effectiveness by analysing HR data (headcount, absenteeism, turnover, D&I) and providing actionable insights to leadership
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on mobility, occupational health & safety and company events
Your new department
You'll join the BeLux affiliate P&O team and work closely with local business leaders, EUCAN/IO colleagues, Global Business Services (GBS) and functional leads. The team supports a fast-paced international environment and is dedicated to enabling business performance through people-focused solutions.
Your skills & qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should bring both strategic HR thinking and operational excellence. We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
- Has previous experience as an HR Generalist, Assistant HR Business Partner or in a similar process-driven environment (experience in an international business is an advantage)
- Is fluent in French, Dutch and English
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of Belgian labour law, payroll processes and employee relations
- Is highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple administrative processes (onboarding, termination, payroll inputs, personnel files) accurately
- Shows strong communication, stakeholder management and coaching skills to support managers and employees effectively
- Is proactive in problem-solving, adaptable to changing demands, and discreet in handling confidential information
