The position
QC Microbiology is part of Product Supply organization, and we conduct all microbiological analyses on in-process samples, bulk, finished products, raw materials, environment, and new products from across BRD. Our work is crucial in ensuring high-quality products and on-time delivery to our over 62 customer departments. Your responsibilities will include:
- Document preparation, including analytical procedures, instructions, laboratory investigations, and deviation reports, among others.
- Taking responsibility for several of the team's microbiological analyses, including sterility testing, microbial control, and other microbiological tests.
- Supporting the team's laboratory technicians.
- Validating analysis methods and preparing responses to regulatory queries.
- Overseeing your area of responsibility during inspections by various authorities.
This is a 1-year contract with the option to extend.
Qualifications
To succeed in this position, the ideal person will have a relevant academic degree in natural sciences, such as pharmacy, engineering or similar. Other skills required include:
- Ideally 2 or more years’ experience in a similar role.
- A quality-conscious and detail-oriented approach.
- Willingness to take responsibility in a busy and demanding environment.
- Desire to contribute to process optimization and improvement.
- Enjoyment in working with technology and laboratory equipment.
The role involves routine work in an operational laboratory, where the day-to-day can be busy and dynamic. Flexibility is crucial, and your ability to contribute to positive working relationships with colleagues and customers is important.
About the department
QC Microbiology is part of Product Supply organization, and we conduct all microbiological analyses on in-process samples, bulk, finished products, raw materials, environment, and new products from across BRD. Our work is crucial in ensuring high-quality products and on-time delivery to our over 62 customer departments. The department consists of four teams that collaborate closely. In total, we have approximately 68 personnel in the department, including 15 microbiologists. The remaining staff comprises laboratory technicians, specialists, managers, and administrative personnel.
You will join MIC2, located at Hagedornsvej. The team consists of 3 microbiologists and 9 laboratory technicians, with a diverse blend of experience, ranging from apprentices to staff with over 30 years of experience. The team strongly emphasizes mutual support, feedback to optimize processes, and fostering a strong sense of community
