Gentofte, Capital Region of Denmark, DK

Do you have a background in engineering or software/IT with experience in one of more of the following areas: Electrical, mechanical, or automation? Would you like to learn how to design and construct facilities in plant engineering software? Or do you already have experience with Siemens’s plant engineering software COMOS? Then you may be the new colleague that we are looking for.

Whether you have experience within design of production facilities or not, this is a unique opportunity to support a novel approach to the design and construction of cutting-edge facilities across the globe at Novo Nordisk. You will play a key role in shaping the future of pharmaceutical manufacturing, so don't hesitate – apply now and seize this exciting opportunity!

The position

Our team is responsible for the design and configuration of new production facilities in Novo Nordisk. We develop the engineering management standards and engineering related IT systems for the new facilities. We create and approve the process flow diagrams, electrical diagrams and 3D models for the new facilities, with the ambition to generate a full digital twin of the facility.

We are looking for a new engineer to join our team. If you have experience with process or electrical diagrams, COMOS (or other plant engineering software), that would be amazing. Otherwise, you will be trained by experienced colleagues.

From COMOS to traditional engineering, there are several possible roles you may have on our team – depending on YOUR interests.  You will be the bridge between engineering, software, and data management. Here are some additional expectations we have for you in this role:

  • You will act as a superuser and support the development of projects in our plant engineering software, including incorporation of the Novo Nordisk numbering system.
  • You will develop your engineering knowledge and experience by designing and approving process flow diagrams and other engineering work in our plant engineering system with guidance from our engineering experts.
  • You will develop and document workflows for engineers working in COMOS.
  • You will monitor the system’s performance, and actively seek user feedback to drive, plan and implement improvements.
  • You will collaborate closely with team colleagues, suppliers, and users around the world to secure buy-in, improve end results and provide business solutions in a timely manner.

To be successful in this role we expect you to have:

  • An educational background within engineering or software/IT.
  • An advanced IT skillset and an interest in learning about plant engineering and software.
  • A “we” before “I” mentality and a “can do” approach to whatever challenges come your way.
  • An excellent command of verbal and written English and the communication skills to navigate in a complex stakeholder landscape.
  • It is a plus if you have experience with one or more of the following: P&ID, E&IC, Siemens COMOS or other plant engineering software, VBScript or similar, database management, XML or REST API

As a person, you take initiative naturally and have a strong personal drive and dedication. You need to bring a good sense of humour to work even when pressure is on, and you thrive in a changing and dynamic environment. You demonstrate attention to detail, and you are structured in your problem-solving approach. Furthermore, you embrace professional and personal diversity.
