Your new role

As Finance Manager, you will hold end-to-end responsibility for financial stewardship in CLINiC, acting as the central finance partner across operations, shared services, and headquarters. Working in a lean owner/approver model, you will ensure that all finance processes are robust, compliant, and deliver decision-quality insights. Global Business Service Centre in Bangalore India will execute on operational tasks (e.g., subledger/GL Processing, reconciliations, invoice runs) while you review, challenge and approve outputs, ensuring full audit-ready trail.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving end-to-end financial processes, including planning, forecasting, reporting, and period-end close, ensuring audit readiness and compliance
  • Providing clear financial insights to support decision-making, translating operational activities into financial impacts for leadership
  • Overseeing billing and cost-plus revenue recognition, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and strong governance
  • Managing tax, treasury, and intercompany processes, securing compliance across VAT, transfer pricing, and corporate income tax
  • Strengthening internal controls, systems governance, and process optimisation in collaboration with global shared services

 

In this role, you will act as the single point of accountability for finance in CLINiC and ensure that processes and outputs function effectively end-to-end in a complex stakeholder landscape.

 

Your role is not limited to reviewing outputs, but also to ensuring that underlying transactions, posting, and processes function correctly end-to- end.

 

Your role covers the full finance taxonomy and key processes including, Plan to Perform (FP&A) Quote to Cash, Source to Pay, Record to Report, Acquire to Retire, Tax, Treasury & Intercompany, System, Controls & Payroll oversight. Etc.

Novo Nordisk Clinical Innovation Centre A/S (CLINiC) is a newly established organisation located in Gentofte, Denmark, dedicated to conducting early-phase clinical trials. With a strong focus on agility and innovation, CLINiC plays a critical role in assessing the safety and efficacy of new treatments.

 

As Finance Manager, you will be part of a lean setup with no direct reports, collaborating closely with global stakeholders including shared service centres, finance specialists, and operational teams. You will serve as the key finance partner across CLINiC, enabling strong governance and supporting business performance through financial insight and control.

 

Your skills and qualifications

We are looking for a finance professional who thrives in a high-accountability role and can operate independently while navigating a complex stakeholder environment.

 

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar, combined with solid experience in accounting and financial management
  • Proven experience with financial processes such as period-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Strong knowledge of tax and compliance areas, including VAT, transfer pricing, and financial controls
  • The ability to work independently with full ownership across multiple finance processes in a lean setup
  • Experience working with shared service environments, systems governance, or process optimisation is an advantage

 

You bring a structured mindset, strong stakeholder collaboration skills, and the ability to ensure accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement across finance operations.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 742,600 to 1,091,600 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
