Your new role
As a Clinical Research Physician, you will combine hands-on clinical responsibilities with scientific and strategic contributions across phase I trials. You will play a central role in ensuring participant safety, trial quality, and robust scientific outcomes.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and support clinical trials, including protocol review, trial execution, and medical oversight, ensuring compliance with ICH-GCP and regulatory requirements
- Act as Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator, safeguarding participant safety and overseeing trial conduct and data integrity
- Provide medical and scientific expertise to relevant stakeholders, including training and development of colleagues
- Drive clinical governance activities, such as risk assessments, protocol deviations, and quality management processes
- Contribute to strategic initiatives, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement within CLINiC including IT systems development
Your new department
You will join the Novo Nordisk Clinical Innovation Centre A/S (CLINiC), a subsidiary to Novo Nordisk A/S focused on early-stage clinical research. The team is dedicated to executing high-quality phase I trials and plays a critical role in advancing innovative treatments.
CLINiC operates in a dynamic and cross-functional environment, collaborating closely with Research & Development, regulatory bodies, and global stakeholders. The Unit emphasizes operational and scientific excellence, participant safety, and continuous innovation to support ambitious early development programs.
Your skills and qualifications
We are looking for a physician with strong clinical and research experience and a collaborative mindset, who thrives in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
You will have:
- A Medical Doctor (MD) with a PhD or equivalent with solid clinical experience
- Hands-on experience conducting early phase clinical trials working as Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator
- Strong knowledge of clinical trial methodology, ICH-GCP, and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills in an international setting
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- You need to be able to interact with patient in Danish. Internally English is the company language

About Novo Nordisk Clinical Innovation Centre A/S (CLINiC) / Where you will work
CLINiC is located in Gentofte, Denmark, and is dedicated to conducting early-phase clinical trials that assess the safety and efficacy of new drugs from Novo Nordisk. The CLINiC is newly established with a highly dedicated and agile organization. The Finance Manager role supports this through disciplined financial control and decision-quality stewardship.
What we offer
Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 847,000 to 1,245,100 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
