The Position
Due to increasing demand for Novo Nordisk’s services, site Gentofte is expanding.
As an Automation / Validation Engineer, you will not only focus on validation but also cover key aspects of automation within the warehouse expansion, which consists of construction, IT/OT, and Intralogistics.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
· Setting the direction for the design and qualification of our warehouse expansion using Science and Risk-Based Validation (SRV) principles, with a focus on automated system validation.
· Ensuring the compliance of new automated logistics equipment, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, Quality Management System (QMS), and regulatory requirements.
· Conducting and leading risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential project issues.
· Managing the validated state of existing equipment throughout the project period, while proactively seeking best practices in validation processes and automation integration.,
· Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and ongoing projects to uphold standard alignment across all Novo Nordisk sites.
In this crucial role, your technical knowledge will guide the suppliers during the design phase, support ordering vital equipment, and contribute to collaborative design activities on a unique project—featuring a partnership between expert consultants and our internal Project Managers.
With the progression of the project, you will have the opportunity to work with advanced digital systems including SAP EWM, Transport Control System (TCS), Local Warehouse Management System (LWMS), Fleet Manager(s), and PAS-X.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we imagine you have:
· An academic background in mechanical, industrial, pharmaceutical engineering, or a related field.
· Experience in validation processes and documentation, preferably a few years within the pharmaceutical industry and/or validation of automated equipment.
· Experience preparing protocols, executing data analysis, and report writing for the required qualifications
· GMP experience and excellent communication skills in English. Danish is a plus.

Knowledge of working with GMP documentation is important for the role to ensure product quality and compliance.
Furthermore, you have a proactive mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and a willingness to lead by example.

Warehouse is part of the Business Support department in Aseptic Manufacturing, Gentofte.
