Medical Advisor Cardiovascular (H/F)

Your New Role

As a Medical Advisor Cardiovascular, you will drive medical and scientific strategy aligned to Novo Nordisk objectives both internally and externally. You will partner and support on a scientific level the internal departments of Novo Nordisk. You will develop and strengthen relations with Key Opinion Leader (KOLs). The role is office-based located out of our UK Head Office based in Gatwick. Some travel will be expected to attend conferences and congresses.  In more details, the roles entails :

  • To ensure compliance with ABPI (Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry), PMCPA (Prescription Medicines Code of Practice Authority), local regulatory requirements and Business Ethics requirements and all other relevant codes for materials and activities/projects;
  • Contributing to the development of the cardiovascular Medical Affairs strategy and plan in association with the medical leadership team, based on the insights of the unmet needs of patients, healthcare professionals (HCPs) and health systems;
  • To ensure compliant and high-quality KOLs management, advisory board planning, and medical education via omnichannel approach. It will involve  driving publication planning, strategy and tailor relevant educational tools;
  • Partner with healthcare systems and medical associations to identify and develop solutions along clinical care pathways to support improved patient outcomes;
  • In collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will  contribute to the development of integrated evidence plans. It involves to ensure Medical support to clinical trials where needed;
  • To provide training to other members of Medical Affairs and Education team to high quality execution of scientific and education activities.

 

Your New Department

You will report to our Cardiorenal Medical Affairs Director. You will partner with various stakeholders (70% collaboration with internal NN teams; Multichannel Engagement Team, Extended Brand Teams, Field teams, Clinical, HEOR, Global & EUCAN Medical Affairs; 30% collaboration with external stakeholders such as vendors, relevant therapy area Health Care Professionals (HCP) and Key Opinion Leaders (KOL).

 

Your Qualifications

For this role, you will require : 

  • To be a UK registered doctor or pharmacist;
  • An ABPI final medical signatory qualification. If not an ABPI final signatory, you will be capable of being trained & passing examination within 6-12 months;
  • Experience of working within the pharmaceutical industry, ideally within the Cardiovascular therapy area, although experience of  Diabetes or Obesity would be considered;
  • To be comfortable and able to build, strengthen and partner effectively with  internal and external stakeholders at different levels;
  • Good problem solving, creativity and influencing skills together with strong scientific knowledge and credibility;
  • To be fluent in written and spoken English.
