Senior Manager, Obesity Medical Affairs

The position
As our Head of Obesity Medical Affairs (MA), you will join the medical affairs metabolic leadership team in Gatwick and will hold a shared responsibility for the creation and appliance of medical strategies aligned to the overall UK affiliate objectives and Novo Nordisk ways. You will report directly to Director of Metabolic Medical Affairs.
You will also:
- Lead a team of medical advisors and field medical colleagues responsible for medical affairs activities in the obesity therapy area.
- Oversee the MA obesity agenda, executing obesity medical strategies in line with both internal and external objectives.
- Develop and execute MA strategies based on patient needs, lead evidence generation, and drive scientific dialogue and publication strategies.
- Collaborate across teams and with healthcare systems to improve patient outcomes, ensuring compliance with ABPI, MHRA, and internal regulatory standards.
- Lead the execution of scientific and medical educational activities, ensure guidance and training on product use, and maintain compliance with ethical and quality standards.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has excellent communication, facilitation and leadership skills. You must be passionate about communicating the medical perspective and can manage complex tasks and quickly adjust to changes in a continuously developing environment.
You should also have:
- Registered Medical Practitioner or UK registered pharmacist.
- Knowledge of ABPI code and NHS requirements.
- Significant experience within the Obesity therapy area.
- Experience in a field medical role - advantage.
- Experience of leading functional and cross functional teams.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
