Senior Brand Manager - 16 month maternity cover

The Position
You will support the department as an extended maternity cover for a Senior Brand Manager during which time you will support with the localisation of global material, creation of brand campaigns and marketing programmes, e.g. HCP digital, medical education, patient programmes, internal and external meetings/congress. You will monitor the market dynamics and product performance and provide actionable insight and recommendations to the business on the development of the brand. You will also identify existing Market insight gaps and propose ways in which to address these gaps.
In collaboration with your Marketing and cross-functional colleagues, your responsibilities will include producing timely marketing materials in line with brand strategy, positioning and brand guidelines (including working with agencies, market research and testing) that support the business. You will take a leadership role in the annual Brand Planning process, supporting translation of our Mid-term strategy into tactical plans. Furthermore, you will help to increase the organisational knowledge of the diabetes market and work closely with field colleagues to ensure the marketing plans can be implemented in the local healthcare environments.
You will be expected to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation, including senior leadership for escalation or endorsement, and support the Marketing Director with implementation of Marketing strategy. You will also act as an ambassador for direct team when in wider cross-functional meetings.
You will support the delivery of impactful Novo Nordisk conferences and workshops, including presentation of marketing campaigns to key internal stakeholders, including members of the Diabetes Leadership Team. Furthermore, you will support training meetings, especially for ensuring training of new Sales team members is aligned to brand strategy. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with the ABPI and our policies.
Qualifications
You will have a Life Sciences, Business or Marketing degree, or equivalent.
Preferably you will have already passed your ABPI exam and have a current understanding of the ABPI code of conduct requirements for all promotional and non-promotional materials and programs. Experience within NHS landscape and infrastructure would be advantageous.
You will have a demonstrable track record of:
- Proven success in pharmaceutical sales/customer facing role
- Recent experience of UK primary and/or secondary care markets
- Experience/ability to operate, communicate and influence at multiple levels
- Experience in pharmaceutical product management/marketing role (POMs) highly desirable.
You thrive in a fast-paced, outcome driven environment, working on multiple, complex projects where your well-honed time management, cross-functional collaboration, excellent communication and prioritisation skills will be put to good use!
This is an office-based role, at our head office in Gatwick, West Sussex, however you must hold a valid driving license and be flexible and willing to travel within the UK and Europe as required. The role reports to the Director of Marketing. As with all office-based roles, our offices will be your primary workplace but with flexibility to work 2-3 days at home during your working week.
About the Department
The Marketing department is made up of experts across the field team and office team. The team is responsible for generating and utilising customer and patient insights and driving the development of our commercial strategies for our existing product portfolio, as well as creating opportunity for new product launches.
We work to define the strategic potential of pipeline products, developing and executing comprehensive pre-launch and launch plans to secure our success, improve patient outcomes and maintain and grow our product portfolio. The department is often the first to launch new products’ campaigns globally or regionally within Europe and has a proven track record in successful campaign launches.
Working in a high paced competitive environment, the marketing team is responsible for campaign planning, development and execution, roadmap planning and management as well as market research techniques.
