The position

We are looking for a manager to join our Clinical Development Centre (CDC), as Therapy Area Head, leading a portfolio of clinical trials within Diabetes or Liver Disease and Obesity. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of trial managers, CTAs and CRA-trial managers to ensure high quality planning, execution and delivery of clinical trials in the UK. You will provide strategic direction, leadership, and clinical operations expertise to drive the delivery of the Novo Nordisk pipeline in one of the mentioned therapeutic areas, in accordance with UK and global strategy.

This is an office-based role so you will need to attend our office at Gatwick for a minimum of 2 days a week.

  • You can motivate and retain your teams high performers, participate in recruitment and professional development of your overall team.
  • Develop short- and long-term strategic plans.
  • Compliance with ABPI code of practice in all relevant communications and materials
  • Demonstrate the ability to ensure resource planning across all team roles to ensure delivery of high-quality clinical trials, on time and within budget.
  • You have the razor focused communication skills and collaborate extensively with all relevant stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of studies and sharing of information.

 

Qualifications

  • Life Science degree in science or relevant fields, or equivalent. 
  • Proven, extensive track record in clinical trial execution in multifunctional team, including clinical quality and training.

 

About the department

You will be part of a highly motivated UK CDC team responsible for the planning, execution and completion of trials related to the development of new medicinal products. The UK CDC is a team of 100+ highly skilled and ambitious colleagues responsible for the planning and execution of clinical trial activities in accordance with the Product Development Plans of Novo Nordisk.
