For over 100 years we have been driving change to defeat diabetes, but we know that what got us here today is not necessarily what will make us successful in the future. We are now transforming our business and taking our expertise into new territories including obesity and rare blood and endocrine diseases.

Our story is one of incredible growth and success, which has culminated in receiving many prestigious awards, such as Best Places to Work and Vitality – Britain’s Healthiest Workplace.

The position
Are you passionate about shaping market access strategies and ensuring patients can benefit from innovative treatments? At Novo Nordisk, we are looking for an experienced professional to lead HTA & reimbursement strategies, helping to navigate the evolving healthcare landscape while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

  • Shape global strategy by providing insights on indication sequencing, pricing strategies, and UK-specific market access needs

  • Lead HTA submissions by managing dossier development, engaging with UK payer agencies, and representing Novo Nordisk at key external meetings, including NICE and NHSE
  • Innovate access solutions by developing Patient Access Schemes, Managed Entry Agreements, and strategies to support successful commercialisation

This is a hybrid role, requiring two days per week in our Gatwick office.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role we imagine that you have:

  • Degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in Social/Health Sciences or Business; a Master’s degree or Health Economics qualification is a plus
  • Experience in developing reimbursement strategies and navigating UK payer processes, particularly NICE and SMC

  • Strong ability to manage processes, timelines, and cross-functional collaboration effectively
  • A scientific background is beneficial for navigating complex healthcare landscapes, with experience in the metabolic therapy area being a plus

About the department
The Health Economics department consists of four dedicated experts, each specializing in specific therapy areas within the portfolio. They collaborate closely with Regional and Global teams to define and implement effective health economic and national access strategies. Additionally, they serve as a key strategic partner to the commercial division within the UK organization.

In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Health Economics, contributing to impactful projects that drive patient access and healthcare innovation.
