Your new role
As a Commercial Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving proactive financial insights as well as robust sales forecasting covering the internal product portfolio and competitors for a selected therapy area. You will contribute to shaping the commercial success of one of the fastest growing and strategically important markets in Novo Nordisk by partnering closely with business.
The role entails a lot of broad range of responsibilities including:
- Partner with the business to identify, influence and drive opportunities through insights gained from structuring financial, market and patient data
- Lead robust sales forecasting and budgeting processes for a designated therapy area and ensure proactive performance insights are brought forward to reinforce or course correct on current strategic execution plans
- Contribute to shape the overall UK affiliate strategy to action narrative with a strong link to both local and global strategies
- Collaborate closely with Pricing, Supply Chain and Commercial to ensure cross-functional alignment during new product launches, market expansion opportunities or market disruption events
- Develop financial models, tools and dashboards that improve the quality and efficiency of commercial decision-making and aspire to deliver an accurate UK P&L by ensuring sales data for the therapy is accurate
- Contribute to a high performing Finance and Operations team and champion a strong finance partner culture
This role is based at Novo Nordisk’s UK office in Gatwick.
Your new department
You will join the Finance & Operations team in the UK, which includes several key business enabling functions such as Supply Chain, Pricing, Accounting, Tax, Facilities, Procurement and Business Finance. The Business Finance team is responsible for the financial management of the UK affiliate, and the role will report to the Associate Director, Business Finance. The broader F&O team consists of approximately 30 individuals all adding to a strong and ambitious team culture.
Your skills and qualifications
We are looking for a commercially minded finance professional who can thrive in a fast-evolving environment and contribute to strategic decision-making in a proactive and impactful way.
To succeed in this role, we expect you can tick most of the following:
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience in commercial finance, preferably within a Healthcare or FMCG environment
- Demonstrated ability to partner with senior stakeholders through a strong business acumen and influence outcomes through data-driven insights.
- Strong analytical and modelling skills, with the ability to translate complex information into simple commercial recommendations.
- A degree or equivalent qualification, ideally in a quantitative management discipline, combined with a relevant postgraduate or professional qualification in Finance, Analytics, Accountancy or similar (e.g. CIMA, ACCA or ACA).
- Experience working with BI or reporting tools is an advantage
