Brand Lead - Obesity

Due to continued expansion of the Obesity team within the UK affiliate, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Brand Lead, reporting to the Head of Marketing.

 

The job
Through leading the cross-functional matrix team your key responsibility will be to deliver the UK launch strategy and launch plan for the Obesity portfolio, ensuring excellence in execution in delivery of the UK Private and NHS launch.

 

You will have many opportunities to influence the projects you will be involved in. As customer centricity is one of our core values you will be required to work closely with our key internal and external stakeholders to really understand our customer needs, the patient pathway and how this is best incorporated into our brand strategy in order that you can deliver and maximise growth and market penetration.   
 
In this position you will be responsible for obtaining customer insight and internal feedback on marketing strategy and tools through regular customer contact, field force liaison and by keeping abreast of relevant publications, press clippings and NHS/government papers. Ensuring compliance with all relevant external standards, that new launch materials are successfully pre-vetted by the MHRA and all materials are signed off in line with ABPI/other legislative requirements.  

 

This position is based in our UK head office in Gatwick, where you will be required to work 3 days per week, with the ability to work from home two days per week once the office is fully open again. Willingness and ability to travel within both the UK and Europe on occasion is required.
 

Qualifications
You will have a Life Sciences, Business or Marketing degree, or equivalent, and preferably have completed a professional marketing qualification. 

 

Essentially you will have proven depth of strategic and tactical experience in senior pharmaceutical product management/marketing role to include pre-launch planning, development and execution (including market access launch preparation); management of line extensions and new indications; development of value propositions and health economic plans to enhance your brand positioning with payers.

 
Preferably you will have already passed your ABPI exam and have a current understanding of the ABPI code of conduct requirements for all promotional and non-promotional materials and programmes. Experience within Obesity, or related therapy area would be advantageous.

 

Proven experience in customer and market research is required, together with matrix management experience to include leadership of a multidisciplinary team to define brand strategy and plan and broader functional experience desirable (i.e. Business analytics/information; Sales Training; Global Marketing (above country) role) 

 

About the Department
As a member of the UK Obesity marketing team, which will total 5 people when the current expansion is concluded, you will be part of leading the commercial strategies for our Obesity portfolio across the private and NHS markets within the UK.
